uOttawa researchers are developing new research partnerships with Ontario companies through SME4SME

The Ontario business community and the University of Ottawa community have responded to the SME4SME call for proposals. Approximately 20 new potential collaborations between the University of Ottawa and the Ontario private sector are being evaluated right now for up to $50,000 in funding per project.

SME4SME is a new program with targeted funding aimed at building strong applied research collaborations between businesses and uOttawa. The Ottawa Technology Transfer Network (OTTN) is a collaboration among academic research institutions affiliated with the University of Ottawa and who's goal is to enhance the economic impact of research commercialization through the sharing of best practices, enhanced market knowledge, student engagement and proactive industrial interation. OTTN members include the University of Ottawa, the Ottawa Hospital Research Institutie (OHRI), the Childrens' Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and the Unviversity of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI)
