uOttawa alumnus Victoria Lennox 1st Canadian to receive Queen’s Medal for Enterprise Promotion

Earlier this spring, Buckingham Palace announced that uOttawa alumnus and entrepreneur, Victoria Lennox, 27, was the first
Canadian, and one of the youngest, recipients of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion for 2011.

Victoria received this award pioneering a grassroots youth entrepreneurship movement in the UK and internationally that
has taken on a momentum of its own with a membership of more than 45,000 students across over 80 universities.  Victoria
was the Founder and Chair of the National Consortium of University Entrepreneurs (NACUE), and former President of Oxford Entrepreneurs.

Victoria received her award a week ago at a ceremony in London, England on July 14th which was followed by a reception at
Buckingham Palace hosted by Queen Elizabeth with the other award recipients.

Victoria is now working in Ottawa on the Startup Canada Campaign to foster entrepreneurship in  Canada.
